Hi everyone

Welcome to the first of many Director blogs. In this space I want to share some happenings and news about our preschool and and all the wonderful things that take place.

First off I would like to tell you about our flag project! The children were asked to design a flag that portrayed how they saw and felt about their preschool. They used the art medium of collage to design their flag. Then we displayed all the flags for our families, educators and community members to vote using a secret ballot system. We are very excited to announce that a flag has been chosen; one that displays a child’s preschool view of a sunny cloudy sky, green grass and happy playing children. Next step is to explore flag manufacture options and organise a flag raising ceremony.

We are very excited to share the wonderful news about our pergola-building project. We were lucky to receive funding from the government to build a sun safe pergola in the outdoor area. The pergola will provide added shelter and an additional play space for the children. I will keep you posted to the progress!

The excitement continues for the community Book Swap project is coming together. At the moment the book swap structure is in the final building stages and Bunnings Morisset has donated a bench for our book lovers to sit, read and rest awhile.
