Meet Our Educators
CVC Preschool believes building relationships and partnerships with both educators and children and educators and families is at the heart of our practice. We value that we are a small team, which enables children to experience continuity of care.

Why I love teaching...
I love watching a child’s face light up when they grasp a new concept or skill. I love being part of teaching that concept or skill and being present in their prideful moment.

Why I love teaching...
Being an educator to young children allows me to be creative, to wonder and consider the world from a child’s perspective. It provides opportunities for me to continually learn and grow, to be dynamic and have fun as I build meaningful connections to support young learners. That's why I love teaching.
Virginia
Why I love teaching...
I love teaching because I am able to encourage the children to imagine and wonder as they learn through play.

Why I love teaching...
I enjoy teaching because no other profession gives the satisfaction, challenges, joys, triumphs, creativity and inspiration like teaching does. No two days are ever the same, and positives always outweigh the negatives. As a teacher, you are in a unique position to truly help people every day to become the best they can be. I enjoy being inspired, as well as inspiring others. The best feeling is leaving work every day, knowing that, no matter how small, I’ve made a difference to someone in some way.
Emma
Why I love teaching...
I enjoy teaching as every day is an adventure. Children have amazing ideas and perspectives, are energetic and are willing to take risks when it comes to learning. I then have the opportunity to share in the excitement, inspire creativity and support children to learn their own way.
Lyndall
Why I love teaching...
I enjoy being an educator as it provides me with the opportunity to interact, engage with and support our next generations. I love that I am able to encourage, help, and teach whilst having fun and learning. Everyday is different as an educator, who wouldn’t love that!
Tracey
Why I love teaching...
I love seeing things through a child’s eyes and being that friend that the children can come to in times of need. I also enjoy spending my days in our beautiful learning environment that is designed with children in mind where they can move their bodies, take some risks and play.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is underpinned by the Principles, Practices and Outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework 2.0 (EYLF) and the service we provide to our learning community is enhanced by the consistent application of the seven quality areas of the National Quality Standards (NQS).
Our philosophy is also guided by the 10 Child Safe Standards, United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Early Childhood Code of Ethics, service policies and individual educator personal teaching philosophies.
We acknowledge the Awabakal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live and we commit to learning about, sharing and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contributions as part of our RAP efforts to create a reconciled nation.
We also acknowledge the importance of Country, and we strive to protect and care for our local natural environment through our sustainable practices, such as adding nesting boxes to our broader community, providing safe spaces for frogs, recycling our waste where we can and monitoring our water usage and electricity consumption.
We believe in creating a safe, secure, supportive, and thoughtfully set out learning environment where children are welcomed, valued, and celebrated. Educators strive to provide a learning environment that promotes play-based learning opportunities, and involves blocks of unhurried time for children to engage in a range of stimulating learning opportunities that promote exploration, learning and adventure. Educators also use family input, local connections, and intentional teaching practices to support children to learn more about our broader world and the responsibilities of being a global citizen.
We value the role of families as the child’s first and most important educator’s and we aim to build collaborative relationships with families. We hope to share in the decision-making process, enhancing each child’s development, using a variety of communication methods, such as our orientation process, daily conversations, weekly communication via online platform and offering regular planning meetings. We also encourage families to share their hobbies, cultural practices, and professional skills with us, as to support child/family wellbeing, enhance our curriculum and broaden educator knowledge.
We appreciate the involvement and commitment made by our management committee members and we strive to create a connected community where every member of our preschool feels respected, included, and valued. We are also proud of the authentic relationships we have established within our community, such as Cooranbong Public School, our local Men’s shed, Cooranbong Community Services Centre and Prelude Australia. We believe the sharing of ideas and resources with like-minded community members will help us grow and evolve as a community-based preschool, servicing our local community.
